To VAT or not to VAT?

by

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo recently delivered her 8th SONA, at ang first part ng speech nya ay solely dedicated to defending the VAT.

She reiterated the importance of VAT, stressing that already 4 billion pesos were put to good use, that is, on pro-poor programs like the conditional cash transfer and scholarships. Describing VAT as a “necessary sacrifice”, Arroyo called on crirics to just support her administration and not try to scrap the VAT.

PGMA also relayed in her SONA the other long term goals na sana daw ay patuloy na maging katas ng VAT; like electricity for the poor, regional hospitals and benefits for elderly who are not covered by the SSS or GSIS.

Mula nang maupo sya bilang pangulo, the country has been on an upward trend in terms of economic growth. Big and consistent turnarounds. the peso has never been stronger for many years, of course, until the latest crises.

Yet, people see her as SEKRETARYA NI SATANAS.

Wait. Why do I sound like this, abogado nya bako? Generally, I am pro-Gloria. I mean, I personally believe that she CHEATED ON THE ELECTIONS against FPJ, or MAYBE TALAMAK ANG KURAPSYON sa present administration, but I give her a chance on those. Mapapalampas ko yun considering the country’s gains and her poise on handling tough times. There is no one who can lead the Philippines better than her.

I even consider her cheating as a patriotic act. She did us a favor, kasi pano nalang kung si FPJ nga ang naupo?! Nothing against Da King, in fact U respect his greatness being a film icon– but for President? HOLY BRA, wag naman sana. Knock on wood.

HOLY BRA!  People, get a life, please! (Or ‘People, get a knife, please!’

Oh, crap.

this would definitely not affect my stand!

am neither against gloria or in favor of anyone to be at the palace.

objectively speaking, i am against on the actions they had for their fellowmen. promises were broken and still a lot of people are on the verge of extinction.

hi po, tama po kayo. im not a pro or anti gloria either pero sometimes wala ng ginawa ang tao kundi magreklamo pero they dont even see themselves if may nagagawa ba sila sa sariling bansa.

like what im oweiz saying the change should come from us. walang kasalanan ang gobyerno kung may naging mahirap at mayaman. diskarte lang natin yan kung paano tayo mabubuhay sa mundo na kuntento at di puro reklamo.

    >>wow..essay ito..thanks sa insight..nice..

  7. Lambing Says:

  8. wei vines Says:

    >>only the people of the country can let change happen..

  9. BADoy Says:

    >>yannn..wag kayong matakot mag-comment..

  10. yhen Says:

wahehehe.. maglabas daw ba ng sama ng loob? hehehe!!!
